Put the afro-portugese rhythms of Brazil through the heads, hands and drums of a bunch of Somerset folk and Blackdown Samba comes to life!
Based in them there hills Blackdown Samba are a community band of disparate rhythm freaks with a common goal of having fun with drums!!

Born out of the Blackdown Hills Beer and Music Festival in 2001, we have since prompted foot shuffling and hip swaying at festivals, carnivals, corporate events, parties and all manner of celebrations. We are part of the Blackdown Hills Music Group, which also includes 3 steel bands; Red Hot Steel, Steel the Show and a band of talented youngsters.
