About Us
Blackdown Samba began just over ten years ago, growing from the annual Blackdown Beer and Music Festival. Since then we have developed into a well-established and popular community band, prompting foot shuffling and hip swaying at festivals, carnivals, corporate events, weddings, parties and all manner of celebrations playing at a wide variety of gigs throughout the year.

| Rehersals & Workshops |
We rehearse every Friday evening from 7-9 at the Blackdown cricket pavilion, an ideal venue surrounded by fields – samba is far from quiet!
During the rehearsals we practise current songs as well as learning new ones so our repertoire is always growing and adapting. We are a friendly bunch so there is also time to chat and make friends. |

We also offer workshops of various lengths, from a couple of hours to all day, allowing you and your group, whether friends and family, work colleagues, brownies, scouts etc to have fun, team-build and explore the amazing Samba rhythms.
